LITTLE PAINTERS: ALL ABOUT SHAPES
grab your little one, put on your painting clothes and let's draw, trace, stamp, paint, spray and splatter as we learn about shapes!
this three-part parent-child workshop series is all about exploring shapes, and most importantly, having fun as we create together! throughout the series, you and your child will play as a team to create a series of large, collaborative paintings. we encourage you to enter the process of creation with your child, because as you model, she or he will surely follow along and surprise you both! working on heavy-duty watercolor paper, we'll explore a variety of materials, tools and techniques, with a focus on the shape of the day! you will leave each class with art worthy of a frame, and a blissful child.
series runs april 7th, 14th and 21st. space is limited, please pre-register!

"DIRTY" GIRLS: A CRAFTY NIGHT OUT
surround yourself with women, make a mess, get those creative juices flowing and emerge with something beautiful! come in your sweats, come in heels, come as you are (crafty or not)! this is a night about giving to ourselves, trying something new, and being with women of all walks! come create, chat, snack and have a drink!
this month, we're having mixed-media fun on canvas your choice of totes, flags, stretched canvas, fabric envelopes and postcards we'll mix in paints, stamps, fabric sprays, vintage buttons, printed textiles, needles, thread and the list goes on!

She has been a sex teacher for over two decades and is the founder and executive director of the Kingston, NY-based Center for the Intimate Arts. She teaches at educational institutions, sexuality boutiques, women's conferences, and many other venues.

CREATIVE CHILDHOOD: WHERE TO BEGIN
Creativity is the heart and soul of childhood. Children are born full of curiosity: their creativity is robust and it guides them to make meaning of the world around them.
This workshop considers what is possible when we believe in the capabilities and creativity of young children and ourselves as parents. We will explore how to engage children in ways that enhance their natural born creativity, including:
- our beliefs about children and how this shapes our interactions with them
- our home environments as a profound influence in our children's development
- using materials as languages of expression's
- how photography can build relationships, critical thinking and imagination
- project work development as a way to support our children's passions
This interactive workshop will give you new insights and inspiration, and next steps to take in fostering creative childhoods in your own home.
